Thanks, Sandra Ebejer! By this point I’ve been writing blogs for clients long enough that I know about how long each posts takes me to research — I’ve been using Toggl to track my time for well over a year now, so that gives me a pretty good estimate of how much time I spend on research. I add that average into my total project length when giving a quote, so my clients don’t really see a quote for research AND one for writing; they just see a quote for the entire project.
