Hey Mel! Good question.

For any of my hourly work, I only run the timer when I’m actually doing work for that client.

So if you send something off to them for approval and then switch to another task they’ve assigned, keep the timer going. Otherwise, I’d turn it off, as you would be charging them for time not actually spent on their project.
